As HTA members MorePeople are delighted to support the HTA Plant Care and Shop Care Training Awards in 2007.  This year's Candidates of the Year, Anne Lewis and Jayne Davies, have demonstrated very high standards of achievement and are worthy winners of the titles.

Anne Lewis (left), Assistant Manager at Squires Garden Centre in Badshot Lea, Farnham received the Retail Shop Care Award Candidate of the Year and Jayne Davies (below left) of the Old Railwayline Garden Centre in Brecon, Powys received the Retail Plant Care Award.

Each candidate received £500 to be spent on additional training, a horticultural study trip or relevant training materials to further their horticultural careers.

Both Anne and Jayne received their awards from Guy Moreton of MorePeople at a special presentation at Glee in September.  Guy said "MorePeople are heavily involved in providing people solutions to the garden and leisure sector and are passionate about the development of careers within the horticultural industry and committed to helping our clients find and train high calibre individuals.  To this end, therefore, we are delighted to be involved with the HTA's Candidate of the Year 2007 awards and are very impressed with the quality of the two winners, Jayne Davies and Anne Lewis.  Both candidates have demonstrated a clear desire to develop their careers within the horticultural sector and their employers should be congratulated for their support and encouragement.  Well done to all involved!"
