Last weeks Grower of the Year awards saw a first for us here at MorePeople. Margie Ribton of Tendercare Nurseries swept all before her to carry off the award for Sales & Marketing Professional of the Year – the first time the award has not been carried off by a man!

Margie is the Director of Retail and Design Sales at Tendercare and like a lot of people who have built successful careers in two arenas she has used the insight and knowledge she gained from her earlier career in photography and promotional branding to bring new ideas and a fresh perspective to her career in horticulture. In the 10 years she has been with the company she has used her marketing insight to great effect and has been instrumental in the development of the Tendercare brand. This has enabled the business to reap benefits in both retail and landscaping sectors as customers and clients now readily recognise the company name and the quality products and people that are associated with it. 

Margie says her job is really about “selling dreams”, planning that perfect bit of personal space or realising that long held idea of landscape heaven and MorePeople are delighted that she has won our award, as recognising the professionalism and enthusiasm of people like Margie, people who can take all the passion that her colleagues put into growing their products and match that to the needs and desires of her customers, is exactly what this award is all about!
