You will have a high degree of autonomy in planning and structuring your day-to-day workload, with the ability to take ownership of tasks and respond dynamically to operational priorities. The role requires a flexible approach, working a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern, including participation in an out-of-hours on-call rota to support plant performance and responsiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the smooth daily operation of an AD and CHP plant, helping to maintain consistent performance and output
- Carry out routine operational checks and basic maintenance activities.
- Monitor plant systems. (e.g. SCADA)
- Assist with handling and preparing feedstock materials for processing
- Maintain accurate operational records.
- Contribute to a strong health and safety culture.
- Work closely with colleagues and supervisors to support continuous improvement.
About You
- Hands-on, practical individual with mechanical and/or electrical awareness

- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining equipment and standards
- Good IT and communication skills.
