About the Role

This role is all about delivering the best service to customers in the food hall section of the garden centre. You will utilise your food retail knowledge to guide customers through their buying experience, offering expert advice wherever required. You will help deliver sales and commercial results in the process and keep customers coming back for repeat business. You will help lead and manage the food hall team to present the product range in the best possible way through effective displays and merchandising. Your friendly and approachable manner will lend itself to customer service and delivering the best possible customer experience.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will come from a food retail focused role within the garden centre sector. You will be able to demonstrate your ability to lead customers to products that are most appropriate for their requirements and increase add-on sales. You will have food retail knowledge and you will be able to lead and manage a team to deliver exceptional customer service and commercial results. You will be able to work with the wider business to help identify any areas of improvement or gaps in the current range to maximise commercial performance. Your background will show that you are willing to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in where required to deliver excellent customer experience, from creating new displays and merchandising, to managing stock.
