Events / Marketing Manager | FPC | Peterborough

Salary: Dependant on Experience.

About Our Client

We have been exclusively commissioned by the Fresh Produce Consortium (FPC - the trade association for the UK Fruit, Vegetable and Floral industry) to source a key member for a close-knit team. This role is an Events / Marketing Manager, and you will be responsible for organising and growing existing events, as well devising and delivering new events which will add value to members. As part of a small, but highly effective team, which consistently punches above its weight both in terms of influence and delivery, you will be playing a key role in raising the profile of the FPC and ensuring you are delivering ongoing value to members.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing and delivering the annual FPC Fresh Awards. Set in a stunning central London location this is one of the main events in the Fresh Produce calendar and attracts around 500 attendees. As Events Manager, you will be expected to ensure bookings to the event are maximised, as well as managing the marketing of the awards from start to finish. In addition to this you will be organising several smaller forums and workshops throughout the year; tailoring the content that will add value to FPC and members. There is a real opportunity to innovate and influence the way these events are managed; working with the best platforms and technology to help this process.

The Candidate

A background in the fresh produce industry is not essential but is desirable. What is more important is the ability to effectively and efficiently manage several projects that will overlap throughout the year in terms of marketing & coordination. Experience in events/marketing management is an essential requirement and hands on event management software knowledge will be a distinct advantage, Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will be speaking to a range of people and businesses daily. You will be given every opportunity to learn about the industry and will have as much support as possible to get you up to speed on any areas you need to develop in.
