About Our Client
Our client is a leading amenity nursery that supplies a wide range of stock to landscape contractors, local authorities & designers across the UK. They supply for projects ranging from new housing developments and business parks, to show gardens and plants for private customers. They have a great reputation for quality and grow their stock across multiple sites. They have a close-knit team of passionate horticulturists.

About the Role
They are currently seeking an office-based head of sales with superb plant knowledge and experience within the amenity or landscape markets to lead their busy sales team. The role is to sell the company goods and services to existing and potential customers. You will lead the sales team in order to deliver on your business strategy and increase profitable business. You will utilise your experience in managing a sales process and knowledge of the sector to get quotes out to key customers efficiently, schedule follow up sales calls and win business. You will drive the same behaviours within the team and deliver YOY growth. You will work closely with the operations teams to ensure orders are processed and delivered in full and on time.

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will come from a landscaping or plant amenity sales background and can sell direct to the customer and build strong and lasting relationships. You will be well organised, have superb communication skills and be IT literate. You will have direct industry experience with horticulture as well as academic qualifications and be able to demonstrate excellent plant knowledge. You will be able to lead and motivate and the team as well as create and deliver commercial strategies.

Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, as a minimum, you will need to have experience in the garden or professional horticulture sectors and be able to show your ability to manage commercial relationships, contracts and a sales team.
