This is a standout opportunity to take ownership of a high-volume plant area within one of the group's flagship centres, set to become one of the top-performing sites in the business.

Operating within a well-established, family-owned group, this position offers a level of autonomy rarely seen in larger corporate environments, while still benefiting from strong central support and horticultural expertise.
What you'll be doing:

- Maintaining exceptional plant quality standards, working closely with trusted suppliers to ensure consistency
- Driving sales and margin through strong commercial decision-making and effective stock management
- Leading, developing, and motivating a team including supervisors and plant specialists
- Creating high-impact visual merchandising displays, with the freedom to bring new ideas to the department
- Working closely with senior management to support the ongoing development and future success of the site
What they're looking for:
- Proven retail management experience, ideally within garden retail or a similar environment
- Strong horticultural knowledge, particularly across seasonal plants, shrubs, and outdoor ranges
- Commercially aware, with experience managing stock, margins, and supplier relationships
- A confident leader who can develop a team and maintain high operational standards
- Someone who takes pride in quality, with a focus on delivering best-in-class plant retailing
- Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with wider teams
Perks & Benefits:
- Join a stable, family-owned business investing heavily in its centres
- Opportunity to take ownership of a flagship site with significant growth plans
- High level of autonomy within the role, supported by experienced horticultural leadership
- Strong staffing levels and resource compared to competitors
- Ongoing investment in facilities and infrastructure
- Competitive salary and benefits package
