Location: Blackpool
Salary: Competitive, DOE
Hours: Full-time, including alternate weekend working

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established retail garden centre environment as a Horticultural Manager, taking responsibility for the plant area and supporting wider store operations. The role offers scope for progression into broader management responsibilities over time.

What you'll be doing:

As Horticultural Manager, you will take ownership of the plant area, ensuring high standards of presentation, customer service, and commercial performance. You will play a key role in day-to-day retail operations, with regular responsibility for covering wider store management duties when required.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and developing the plant area to maintain strong retail standards and an excellent customer experience
  • Leading, supporting, and motivating a small team within the department
  • Taking responsibility for stock control, ordering, and replenishment
  • Providing practical horticultural advice and guidance to customers
  • Covering general store management duties on a regular basis
  • Working closely with senior management to support operational delivery and improvements
  • Maintaining compliance with health, safety, and store procedures
