About Our Client

Our client is a market-leading garden centre with a reputation for excellence, they first opened in 2002 and have grown every year since. They are a small, independently run garden centre with a focus on plants and keeping everything as local as possible. Their mission is to inspire gardeners of all levels, highlighting plants for different seasons and areas. The centre includes a Café and Farm Shop.

About the Role

As Horticulture Manager, you will pride yourself on giving customers the very best in product quality and choice, but also on providing them with a fantastic shopping experience through creating stunning visual displays. You will manage your team working closely with suppliers to select stock that matched sales trends to increase profits and decrease waste. This role will require a good understanding of plant care and horticulture knowledge.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have experience in working in a garden centre environment and be looking for a new challenge or a step up. You will have great horticulture knowledge and an interest in passing this knowledge onto colleagues and customers. You will be confident in running a small team and can train, develop, and motivate the people around you. You will have a commercial mind, knowing stock control methods, increasing add-on sales, and acknowledging areas of improvement within the plant area.
