Horticultural Technician Interior Plant Maintenance

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Horticultural Technician to join a well established interior landscaping business maintaining high quality planting schemes across commercial client sites throughout New York City and the surrounding areas.

This role suits a hands on horticulturist who enjoys working independently, takes pride in plant care, and is confident dealing directly with clients in busy commercial environments.

You will manage a designated maintenance route, visiting client sites regularly to maintain interior and some exterior plant displays while acting as the on site point of contact.

Key Responsibilities

* Maintain interior and exterior planting displays to a high professional standard
* Diagnose plant health issues and implement appropriate solutions
* Carry out scheduled maintenance visits across multiple commercial client sites
* Visit a range of client locations as part of a planned city wide route
* Build and maintain positive long term relationships with clients
* Act as the primary on site contact for customers
* Communicate confidently and professionally while on site
* Complete site reports and maintain accurate service records
* Manage time effectively across daily and weekly schedules
* Work safely at all times in line with health and safety procedures
* Liaise with line management to support service standards and continuous improvement

What We Are Looking For

* Previous experience in horticultural maintenance or plant care
* Strong plant knowledge and genuine enthusiasm for horticulture
* Customer facing experience within commercial or service environments
* Reliable, professional, and well presented
* Comfortable working independently as well as part of a wider team
* Confident navigating large office buildings and multiple city locations
* Physically able to carry out plant maintenance duties including watering and use of step ladders
* Horticultural qualifications beneficial but not essential
* Full driving licence required
* Ability to travel across New York City and surrounding areas using a vehicle and or public transport
