Role - Lead Engineer
Location - Commutable to Peterborough (Covering UK Wide)
Salary - £45,000, plus overtime (OTE - £55k+) + Company Car

The Business
We are currently working with one of the fastest growing businesses within the Process and Food Sector, who are currently expanding across the board as part of their long-term growth strategy. The business has already doubled their head count over the last 3 years, with the plan to add an additional six heads by the end of 2023 across various departments.
Thanks to their ever-increasing workload, they now require a Lead Engineer to head up their Installation and Commissioning Team.
The Role
The Lead Engineer will be leading all Engineering activities on site and will directly manging and coordinating the Installation & Commissioning Teams on site, plus any 3rd Party Contractors involved in the project.
Reporting Directly to Project Manager, the Lead Engineer will be responsible for performing Site Surveys prior to Installation, providing Quotations for Costs, and estimates on time scales and labour resources required.
During the Installation phase, the Lead Engineer will be responsible for ensuring all Engineers adhere to Safe Working Practices, Leading H&S on Project, monitor and report build progress, liaise with Customers to allow full unhindered access on site when required, plus troubleshoot where required, with the ability and willingness to get hands to ensure projects are delivered fully and on time.
The Lead Engineer will need to confident in the reading of Technical Drawings and P&IDs, plus have strong man management and organisational skills. Prior experience working on or with Food, Beverage or Process Equipment is essential.
About You
The client is looking for candidates with the following knowledge or experience:
- Recognised Electrical or Mechanical Qualification (HND, HNC, City & Guild, or NVQ)
- Previous Experience Leading or Managing Engineers in Food, Beverage or Process Environment
- Must be able to read Technical Drawings and P&IDs.
- Must have a valid UK Driving License
- Must be willing to Travel UK wide.
