Maintenance Engineer | Fresh Produce
Salary: £30k + Accommodation

We are currently working with a client who specialises in the production and distribution of plants and added value products, with over 50 years' experience in the industry. They are currently looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer to join their team.

The main responsibilities of this position will be to manage and develop the preventative maintenance programme to ensure that the current Bio Mass boilers are working at maximum efficiency. The business has a biomass plant that contains 2 x 1 mw boilers and 2 x large oil-fired boilers, which supply the business with their hot water energy and are an integral part of the business.

Alongside this you will be responsible for the routine maintenance of their nursery facility including such things as; screens, vents and irrigation systems, among other things. You will make sure that this is completed in a timely and breakdown preventative manner, maintaining appropriate records and documentation where necessary and is in accordance with Health & Safety legislation.

It is desired that the successful individual has practical hands-on experience in boiler management and knowledge of both mechanical and electrical engineering. You will also need to have adequate computer literacy as the business currently use a specialist computer system that you will be required to learn and use.

Part of this position, is the fact that the boilers in question need to be operating throughout day and night and so you will need to be available 24/7 in case of any issues. With this in mind, the position comes with fantastic accommodation which is situated on site.
