About Our Client We are currently working with a well known and passionate fresh produce business. They have a requirement for an experienced Procurement Manager to get under the skin of the whole supply chain to ensure it is running as effectively as possible.
About the Job This role will have responsibility for the procurement of imported produce used by the company. With an established grower base, you will need to work closely with them to develop the supply chain, ensuring stock levels are maintained. You will manage forecasts and budgets, collaborating with the Commercial and Technical teams to gain buy-in. You will also be required to reduce overall spend on produce and reduce produce waste.
The Ideal Candidate You will have experience of working as a manager within the procurement sector, preferably fresh produce. The business works very closely with all of its partners, so experience of developing, not just managing, supplier relationships is important. Due to being an established business, evidence of effective stock management and reducing waste is desirable.
