We're working with a well-established UK manufacturer and supplier operating within the seasonal and outdoor living sector. As part of their continued growth plans, they're looking to appoint a National Account Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of key retail, wholesale and specialist accounts.

The Role

As National Account Manager, you'll take ownership of a portfolio of strategically important customer accounts, building long-term partnerships and driving profitable growth.

Working closely with internal teams across sales, planning and operations, you'll play a key role in forecasting, customer planning, commercial negotiations and identifying new opportunities within existing accounts.

Day-to-day, you'll be:

  • Managing and developing key retail, wholesale and specialist accounts
  • Leading customer reviews and account planning meetings
  • Negotiating commercial agreements, pricing and promotional activity
  • Identifying opportunities to increase sales, profitability and market share
  • Working closely with forecasting and demand planning teams
  • Delivering account performance reviews and growth plans
  • Building relationships with stakeholders across multiple levels
  • Monitoring market trends and competitor activity
  • Supporting the development of future products and customer ranges
  • Representing the business at customer meetings, industry events and trade shows

This role is about building strategic partnerships, identifying growth opportunities and delivering long-term commercial success.

About You

You may currently be an Account Manager with extensive experience in one of the following sectors:

  • Garden Retail
  • DIY
  • Outdoor Living
  • Seasonal Products
  • Home Improvement
  • Consumer Goods
  • Wholesale & Distribution

You'll ideally have:

  • Experience managing national retail or wholesale accounts
  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills
  • Experience delivering account plans and customer reviews
  • Exposure to forecasting and sales planning
  • The ability to build relationships at multiple levels
  • A proactive and commercially driven mindset
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
