About the Role
You will utilise your experience in managing international fresh produce supply chains and procurement teams to deliver long term strategies, relationships and supplies to meet demands. You will work closely with commercial teams and overseas grower partners to continue the growth and success of the business. Your experience in building relationships with fresh produce growers will enable you to build upon existing relationships as well as source new suppliers where required. You will work with growers to develop growing programs, develop crops and varieties to offer the best quality supply year-round for customers. Whilst the procurement of fresh produce will be your focus in this role, you will also oversee all procurement functions within the business and team. You will develop your team members and have a track record of developing people and having succession plans in place.

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for this role will have a proven track record of delivering robust supply chains with growers across the world. You will be able to demonstrate your ability to build relationships with growers as well as sourcing new grower partners. Your people will love working for you and the development and knowledge that you pass on to them. Ideally, you will possess languages - Spanish as an ideal. You will have a fantastic amount of knowledge of the fresh produce supply chain and a background in direct sourcing. You will be able to build commercial strategies with growers and internal teams to deliver the best possible products for the retailers and consumers.

Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, as a minimum, you will need to have a proven track record of delivering robust supply chains with multiple international growers of fresh produce. You will need to be able to lead, motivate and develop a team whilst delivering commercial objectives.
