About the Client

With over 5,000 hectares of agricultural holdings, the client is Israel's largest grower and exporter of citrus as well as other fruits and vegetables. The company has annual sales of approximately $300 million with over 70% of the produce exported globally to all continents. Key destinations currently include the U.S.A. Canada, Europe and Japan providing solutions to the world's leading produce retailers. They are looking to expand their commercial team by bringing in a Product Specialist to sit across the commercial and procurement arms of the company.

About the Role

In this role as a Product Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing both the procurement and commercial retail side of the business. You will be looking after the Avocado and Dates supply chain and will be expected to work closely with both suppliers and customers, ideally providing the 'from the seed to the shelf' approach. You will need a strong understanding of the product to help maximise sales and profit.

The Ideal Candidate

To be considered for this role you will need strong and extensive supply chain knowledge of the fresh produce industry in particular Avocado's. You will need to have worked within the retail market and understand the demands and pace that it brings. You will also need knowledge and the ability to manage the supply chain, dealing with suppliers and working to budgets. Clear communication skills and an engaging personality is a must.
