Production Supervisor | Maternity Cover

Key elements:
Labour supervision - able to lead and organise all field operations as per schedule / priorities discussed in weekly technical walk round plus potting schedule.
Discuss with Production Manager requirements for staff numbers and quality / efficiency of current supply (busy periods mainly, when client have agency staff).
Responsible for making sure small groups (norm 2) work efficiently.
Hands on role - will work as part of the team.
Responsible for making sure equipment is kept in specific places.
Make sure all areas prior to spacing / potting are clean and weed free and all rubbish cleared out of nursery.
To monitor and schedule as necessary weed control in crops and around the growing units.
Responsible for labelling and recording all stock movements and stock inputs.

Person Specification:
Preferred horticultural experience
A leading character, able to work with the staff and direct them.
Experience in supervising / line-leading.
Good communication skills and preferable extra language (i.e. Polish, Lithuanian, Russian)
