QA Manager | Fresh Produce | Lincolnshire

We are working with a leading fresh produce supplier into the retail sector, and they are looking to strengthen the technical team, with the appointment of a QA Manager

The role

This role of QA Manager has a strong focus on compliance e.g. BRC, Red Tractor, soil association, legal compliance and customer communications.

Working closely with the procurement and agronomy team on forward sampling and working with Growers on inbound raw material.

To manage the Hygiene and QA team

In the event of any out of specification product, take the appropriate action in conjunction with production management and communicate with suppliers/growers.

• The Candidate

Must have fresh produce experience, within a quality function. This role could suit a junior person looking for there first QA Manager role.

Experience in managing a team

Good understanding of retail standards

Good knowledge of BRC, HACCP, GMP, Food safety legislation

Ability to meet deadlines

Able to communicate to all levels

Experience of audits

Management of customer visit
