Are you an experienced sales professional who can build a business with key garden centre customers?

About Our Client
Our client is an entrepreneurial and dynamic business that is going through a period of substantial growth as a result of the market demands and their quality products and brands. They are looking to capitalise on the current market conditions and their potential to deliver further business growth and development. They are currently supplying their quality garden furniture products online B2C as well as B2B with some existing key garden sector partners. They have a real desire to see the business grow further through the acquisition of new key and strategic customers in the garden sector. They are importing their products from China and the Far East and have built robust supply chains to deal with the current demands. They have built up a good level of stock in furniture as well as new lines in garden kitchens and BBQ's.

About the Role
This role is all about building relationships and sales with new key accounts and strategic customers. This could include some of the garden centre buying groups, smaller independent groups and key independent garden centres that are in keeping with the brands on offer. You will utilise your knowledge of the industry to identify key potential customers and approach them to build relationships with the business and ultimately deliver sales. Our client is realistic and knows that this process can take time depending on the customer, their current range review timelines and suppliers etc. They are in this for the long-term potential and want you to be too. You will work closely with the management team to work at pace and be willing to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in where required. You will create marketing materials, presentations, sales materials, customer range reviews and SWOT analysis etc to support your remit of delivering business growth.

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for this role will have a track record of building business within the UK garden retail sector. You will be able to identify key customers and targets to deliver business growth. Perhaps, you will be working for a larger corporate supplier, frustrated by red tape or inflexibility to get the job done. Or, perhaps you will have experience in supplying a range of garden centre groups and key customers within a smaller dynamic business that is holding you back, unable to supply the stock your sales are demanding. You will be a self-starter who can work in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, as a minimum, you will need to have a proven track record of building sales within the garden retail sector.
