About our Client

We are recruiting for an established but rapidly growing family-owned pulses trading and cleaning business based on the Lincolnshire / Cambridgeshire border. They have a fantastic vacancy for an experienced Technical Manager to join the team.

About the Role

As Technical Manager you will take responsibility for preparing for and leading BRC & TASCC audits, manage the supplier approval process, risk assessment, and intake documentation, ensuring relevant controls are in place and paperwork collated.

Compile customer and manufacturing specifications and customer complaints

Be responsible for ensuring all aspects of company food safety and quality management systems including HACCP; operate in accordance with our business needs, customers, BRC and other external standard requirements; to ensure we remain fully compliant against customer Codes of Practice and current legislation. Daily Hygiene tours of the site, including plants, stores and warehouses.

Daily collation of all Production paperwork, checking and recording stocks, and sign-off QA checks. Monthly sampling of product and environmental swabs for micro analysis

The Ideal Candidate

For this role, you will be ideally educated to a degree level in food science, food technology or a food safety-related discipline. With a minimum of 2-3 years in a Technical Manager position. Experience of managing a small team. HACCP and food safety qualified.
