About our Client

We are recruiting for an established but rapidly growing family-owned business close to Norwich. They have a fantastic vacancy for an experienced Raw material Technical Manager to join the team, where you would be technical lead for all suppliers.

About the Role

As Technical Manager you will lead all supplier audits and the supplier approval process, here in the UK and abroad. Manage and maintain approved supplier list, ensure suppliers meet the business and customers' Food Safety and Quality standards. Day-to-day management of the QC intake process. Management of customer complaint investigations and responses relating to suppliers. Management of microbiological and other analysis issues for Ingredients and traded goods. Review of supplier's specifications. Management and approval of all Technical contracted service suppliers (eg Chemical, Laboratory and Laundry)

The Ideal Candidate

For this role, you will be ideally educated to a degree level in food science, food technology or a food safety-related discipline. With a minimum 2-3 years in a Technical Manager position. Experience of managing a small team. HACCP and food safety qualified, ideally with working knowledge of microbiology and be lead auditor qualified. Full UK driving licence and have the ability to travel worldwide.
