Trainee Mechanical Engineer (Bedfordshire)

FULL TRAINING PROVIDED!!!

Up to £16,000 a year, plus overtime paid at (x1.5)

Monday to Friday - 7am to 4pm (early finish on Fridays)

We are currently working with on the Leading Manufacturers of fully automated production lines for the Food & Beverage industry. Supplying to household names across the World, their range of cooking and processing equipment is used in the production of a huge variety of foods and beverages.

The business are incredibly keen and proud of their Home Grown talent pool, with a wide variety of training and development opportunities within the business. Currently they are looking for candidates to join their Engineering and Manufacturing division to train to become a fully fledged Mechanical Engineer.

The Role

The business is offering the successful applicant the opportunity to take their first steps into the World of Mechanical Engineering. As part of the training you will cover…

• Welding and Fabrication.
• Working with Sheet-Metal (Lasering and Folding/Bending, Polishing and Shot Blasting).
• Machining (All Aspects of Machine shop duties including Manual Milling/Turning and CNC Milling and Turning Programming).
• Mechanical fitting Machinery
• How to read and understand Technical Drawings.
• Stores, including Stores Assisting.
• Drawing Office Assisting & Learning all aspects of the Drawing Office.

You will have the opportunity to work towards, and gain, recognised qualifications within each field, ultimately working towards becoming a fully fledged Mechanical Engineer.

The Candidate

You do not need any background, or prior qualifications, in Engineering or Manufacturing to be considered for this role, but the business is looking for someone with a real passion for Engineering and looking for a career in the world of Manufacturing.
