The Challenge
Huntapac are a family-owned, fresh produce farming operation of significant scale. They grow, process and distribute root vegetables all over the UK, ensuring that their customers receive freshly prepared carrots and parsnips from field to fork.
The Approach
Having partnered with Huntapac on a number of senior appointments in the past, we were ideally positioned to support when Richard engaged us regarding a management opportunity within the farming team.
We initiated a broad, proactive search across our networks and diverse sourcing channels, enabling us to build a strong pipeline of suitable candidates. This resulted in a well-rounded longlist featuring individuals with a balance of leadership experience, technical capability, and relevant sector knowledge.
In close collaboration with the National Farms Director, we distilled this into a focused shortlist and guided candidates through a structured two-stage interview process, including detailed referencing.
From the final selection, one individual quickly set themselves apart through their clear enthusiasm for the industry, proven leadership credentials, and hands-on expertise. Their experience and outlook made them a natural fit with Huntapac’s long-term vision and growth ambitions.
