About Our Client

We are excited to be working with an award-winning online gardening business that has gone from strength to strength over the past couple of years. They offer a wide range of seeds, seedlings, plants, and gardening and floristry kits. They are now looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their team.

About the Job

The Accounts Assistant will support the Financial Controller with the day-to-day operations as they look to build a best-in-class internal finance function. Day-to-day responsibilities will include co-ordinating the invoice approval process, processing supplier invoices and weekly payment runs, preparation of monthly accruals and prepayments, assisting with the management accounts, maintaining key balance sheet reconciliations and preparing payroll submissions.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will possess exceptional organisational and time management skills, and have experience working successfully in a fast-growth environment. You will be fully or part qualified with experience with Sage and especially Excel.
