About the Company

Our client is a well established food wholesaler specialising in the distribution of fresh fruit and vegetables to retailers, restaurants, markets, and other businesses. They are seeking a highly organised and proactive Administrator to support the smooth and efficient running of day-to-day business operations.

This is a fully remote role, ideal for someone who can work independently, manage a varied workload, and travel occasionally for site visits when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high quality administrative support to the operations team
  • Maintain and update internal systems, databases, and documentation
  • Manage incoming calls, emails, and customer or partner enquiries
  • Assist with scheduling, logistics coordination, and operational planning
  • Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and supporting documentation
  • Support onboarding processes and internal communications
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and operational standards
  • Contribute to continuous improvement across operational processes

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in an administrative or operational support role
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and or Google Workspace
  • Advanced Excel skills, including the confident use of formulas, data management, and reporting
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience with accountancy or finance software is desirable
  • Experience within the fresh produce sector is highly desirable
