Are you an experienced horticultural buyer looking to join an ever-growing Team?

About the Role

Due to continued growth, our client are looking to recruit for a horticultural buyer to join their technical team and procuring seeds, live plants, hardware products and packaging as well as ensuring the quality of the products is to the required standards whilst managing supplier relationships. You will work with various teams to drive sales and innovation.

The Ideal Candidate

You will need a deep understanding horticulture production knowledge, ideally in vegetables, fruit and ornamentals, with excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Live plants buying experience will be important as well as experience in communicating with suppliers on production planning, crop development and delivery dates. Other essential requirements include knowledge of changing import regulations, effective IT skills (Excel) and the ability to work under pressure.

About the Client

Our client is an established multi-channel horticultural business that has been operating for over 40 years. They have a great reputation for quality and serve a variety of outlets including retail, garden centres, DIY stores as well as having a significant mail order and export business. Due to continued growth, they are now recruiting for a horticultural buyer.
