Our Client
Our client is a leading supplier of garden products to a number of garden centres and retailers. They are currently going through a period of substantial growth due to their quality products, relationships with customers and service levels. They are an established, family-run business with a great reputation within the industry. They operate a very hands-on business and have an entrepreneurial style.

About the Role
This role will support our client's growth plans. They are actively looking to enter new categories and products to add further value to their customer base. They are therefore looking for people with the category and sourcing knowledge to assist them in delivering further growth in new categories. You will be able to utilise your experience in sourcing from China and the Far East to deliver products that excite consumers and add value to customers. This could be in lots of different areas, including solar, tools, hanging baskets, garden decor, grow-your-own, BBQ's, outdoor heating, garden storage or other similar garden categories. You will have lots of autonomy to source new products and suppliers and will work closely with the team to offer the best range of products.

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in sourcing garden related products from China and the Far East. You will have existing relationships with manufacturers and suppliers with a wealth of knowledge in garden categories. You will be able to handle end-to-end supply, developing a range with the manufacturers, planning and forecasting, arranging the importation of FCL's and logistics into the UK to meet volumes et al. You will possess a strong work ethic and be a team player. You will be able to form strong internal relationships and work together to create the best range for the business.

Minimum Requirements
to be considered for this role, you will need to have experience sourcing products from China and the Far East dealing with the manufacturers to secure a range of quality garden products. You will need to be hands-on and be willing to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in where required.
