Category Marketing Manager
Salary ~ £35-45k
Has the promotion you were promised not materialised? Do you want to progress your career in a category marketing manager role?
Our client likes to develop internal talent and promote from within. The last two people in this team were developed and promoted twice within ~6 years. The same could happen to you, so this could not only be your next job but the one after that too.
So, if you're a category executive that has been promised a promotion only for it not to materialise or if you're a category manager that isn't getting the support you need to develop your career, please get in touch.
The business has used the UK market as a bit of a guinea pig over the past ~10 years to prove category insight best practices to help deliver results with customers. The wider business operates across Europe and they are rolling these practices out across their customer base. It's a very exciting time for the business and the category team in particular as a result.
The business supplies retailers, food manufacturers and foodservice channels. They use Kantar and Nielsen data and spend upwards of six-figures to give them access to the data required to make a difference. Data in the food manufacturing and foodservice channels is harder to obtain, but they make use of in-house data, Mintel and IGD too. Given the lack of data sources in some of the channels that they serve, they are often proactive and use sources that they have to create a category story and customer journey to support commercial functions.
The role will report to the Sales & Marketing Director who has a track record of mentoring and developing people to reach their potential.
As the business is a big supplier across Europe, there would also be the potential to travel to meet other stakeholders and customers on the continent.
If you're a proactive, analytical category professional with strong values and behaviours we would love to speak to you about this further.
Please contact me, Tom, on 01780 480 530 or firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to find out more. I appreciate that your CV may not be up to date. No problem, just send whatever you have. Everyone will get a response.
