We are excited to announce that we are working exclusively with Speciality Produce Limited on a fantastic opportunity for an experienced CEO to join the team.

SPL is a grower owned cooperative which enables its Members to have access to funding under the Fruit and Vegetable Scheme. First formed in 1998 in Kent; fast forward ~25 years later, its membership has grown, and they now have major production hubs across the UK. Their members use leading-edge growing techniques to produce an array of fruit, herbs and salads for supermarkets and food service companies.

The business is looking to appoint a new CEO with a strong commercial background to help resource and manage the current RPA funding/grants for the Producer Organisation (PO). They need someone to help the company benefit from new opportunities and will be responsible for a team of people that are directly involved with SPL daily activities. The CEO will also be responsible for the day-to-day communication and dealings with the various PO member companies.

The ideal candidate will need to be financially astute, highly organised and have an entrepreneurial approach to help the company benefit from the various opportunities within the sector in order to be involved in more schemes and help the members raise more funds for investment. It's essential that the candidate is committed to understanding the members and growers' businesses to drive collaboration within the group.

This is a fantastic role for someone who has a very strong administrative, leadership background but also a good understanding of the agricultural, horticultural, or fresh produce sectors. Knowledge of how Producer Organisations operate would be advantageous.

The role will be based in Swineshead and will offer a flexible working structure.
