The business

Our client is a market leader supplying to retailers under own label and supplying into foodservice, due to an upcoming retirement we are recruiting for a Food Safety & Compliance Manager to join the small team.

The role

To develop and deliver training to ensure the site complies with food safety and hygiene standards. Support the Site Technical Manager to drive the food safety culture and KPI performance. To provide adequate cover to the Technical Manager to meet operational and customer demands, including updating and managing the Site Document Management System. Assist in the investigation, corrective action along with root cause analysis and reporting of customer complaints as appropriate.

The candidate

The ideal candidate will have a food/food science degree, sound technical knowledge gained within a food manufacturing environment, Internal Auditor certification, Level 3 Intermediate Food Safety and HACCP.

Awareness of Good Manufacturing Practice within Food Manufacturing, along with good verbal and written communication skills
