About the Role
This role is all about maximising social impact through climate change and related sustainability programmes. You will utilise and build upon your network of relevant contacts across industry, academia, government and not for profit organisations to inform and drive the impact of the sustainability programmes that you and your team create. Along with internal stakeholders, you will shape the long-term sustainability strategy. You will oversee and review relevant reports, toolkits and online content to ensure consistency. You will lead and develop a cross-functional team to deliver KPI's and business strategies. You will immerse yourself in relevant topics and maintain in-depth knowledge of the latest trends in the sector and bring that knowledge to your team, the wider business and external stakeholders.

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for this role will have a proven track record of driving a climate change and sustainability strategy and projects. You will have experience in the UK food and consumer goods sector and be able to demonstrate your knowledge of the associated supply chains and the opportunities to affect climate change and sustainability within them. You will ideally hold a masters degree in a relevant area. You will have a track record of managing teams to deliver projects with changing priority levels and be able to work to tight deadlines. You will be a real influencer and be and to engage and network with a variety of external bodies.

Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, as a minimum, you will need to have a background in sustainability and the food sector. You will need to be a proven leader and influencer. You will have a strong network with the sustainability world and be comfortable networking further with different bodies.

The successful applicant will move through a two-stage interview process. The process will include psychometric profiling and a presentation. This process can take time to complete.
