Head of International Farming | Soft Fruits

We are working with a great business who have experienced solid growth over the last few years. As a result of this and with the ever changing requirements of the retailers, they have expanded their influence internationally and are looking for a Head of International Growing to ensure their partners are on the same page and have the support they need. This is a newly created role so there is a real opportunity to make it your own and drive the agenda both now and in the future. There is the opportunity for this role to be based in either the UK or Spain.

The Job:
Your main role is to provide a key link to the broader business with their key partners in countries such as Chile, Morocco and Spain.
This role will be as much about the people you are dealing with as the produce they are growing. You will need to develop strong relationships with a range of different people in different countries with different cultures. No mean feat.
You will be overseeing the forecasts and KPI's for the business and constantly looking at ways of sharing good situations and avoiding negative ones.

The Candidate:
You will have a strong background of growing produce, ideally soft fruits but similar products can be considered as well.
As above, strong people management is going to be key to the success of this role. You will be travelling quite a bit and will need to be able to prioritise the areas that need it most.
You will be a Senior Member of the management team and as such will be a role model and ambassador within the business.
Spanish language would also be a benefit or at least the willingness to learn it in due course.
