This client is an award-winning online gardening business, which offers carefully tried and tested plants, seeds, bulbs and gardening kit as well as lovely things for your home, all personal selected by the owner who is a known author and broadcaster.

About the Role

This newly created role will be central to the success of the company, ensuring that you have the right stock at the right time to achieve your commercial goals. You will be responsible for planning and implementing strategies, as well as leading and developing a team of 13 staff. You will work closely with suppliers to manage stock levels/inventory, expedite deliveries where required, and work with buying team to ensure suppliers achieve performance targets.

The Ideal Candidate

To be considered for this role you will need to have previous Head of or Senior Merchandising level experience, with the responsible for a team of reports. You will need strong analytical skills, as well as the ability to draw insight and recommendations from volumes of data. Supplier experience is a must, and you also need to have good communication skills within a fast paced and something unpredictable environment.
