About the Role
In this role, you will create and deliver the procurement strategy across all fresh produce required to fulfil the business needs. You will work with suppliers to build robust supply chains that delivers the quantity of quality fresh produce required. You will be responsible for building supplier performance trackers, selecting supplier partners, contract negotiation and development activities to deliver for multiple sites. You will form part of the SLT and represent the group procurement team on fresh produce. You will support the local site GM's to ensure sufficient supply to meet with customer demands. Technology and the latest procurement tools and resources will enable you to deliver improved forecasting, terms, processes and supply partners.

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for this position will have held senior procurement roles across multi-site food manufacturing businesses. You will possess commodity/fresh produce experience are understand the fresh produce supply chain. You will hold exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills. Your CIPS/MCIPS will mean that you are very organised and process-driven. Experienced in setting a procurement strategy and partnerships, you will also be hands-on and be able to deliver the strategy you have created. You will have experience in leading a small team and will possess gravitas.

Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, as a minimum, you will need to have significant procurement experience in a commodity type food sector. An understanding of fresh produce growing and the commercial supply chain will also be important. You will also need to be able to demonstrate your ability to create and deliver an effective procurement strategy. You will be a driven individual who has operated in a decentralised multi-site procurement team.
