We're working with one of the UK's most respected ornamental plant producers, a business that combines innovation, sustainability, and a serious love for growing beautiful things, and they're looking for a Senior Technologist to join their passionate technical team.

About the Role

As Senior Technologist, you'll be the go-to expert for all things technical, working closely with retailers, growers, and suppliers to make sure every product looks incredible, performs brilliantly, and meets the highest possible standards.

You'll get stuck into everything from agreeing plant specs and managing customer relationships, to trial work, audits, and improving quality systems. It's a role that's as varied as it is rewarding, perfect for someone who likes to be both in the office and out among the plants.

You'll be:

  • Leading on technical matters with key customers
  • Ensuring all products meet agreed specifications and quality standards
  • Running pre-productions and supporting product launches
  • Visiting growers and reviewing crops in glasshouses and nurseries
  • Managing customer feedback, complaints, and continuous improvements
  • Supporting audit readiness and compliance
  • Collaborating across teams to keep quality at the heart of everything

About You

You're someone who loves detail, thrives in a fast-moving environment, and takes real pride in getting things right. You enjoy working with people at all levels - from growers to customers - and you're confident representing your business in a professional, positive way.

We're looking for:

  • Experience in a technical or quality-focused horticultural or fresh produce role
  • Solid understanding of plant quality, production, and hardware
  • Knowledge of audits, specifications, and quality systems
  • Great communication and problem-solving skills
  • A proactive, can-do attitude - someone who rolls up their sleeves and makes things happen

Bonus points if you have HACCP or audit experience, or formal horticultural qualifications.
