About the Job:
This role will all be about flowers and everything that goes into delivering a first-class range of bouquets and associated products to customers. You will source from growers and suppliers from across the World to buy the volumes required to meet demands. You will know what quality looks like and how to negotiate with a variety of sources. You will utilise your experience in cut flowers to push the range forward and offer new and exciting products that deliver sales. You will also be responsible for managing a budget and buying in the best possible way to deliver margin targets.

The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate for this role will have worked for at least one of the large packers of fresh cut flowers in the UK. You will be able to demonstrate your knowledge of cut flowers and your ability to buy and source stems and materials. You will be able to work closely with NPD, commercial and technical teams to deliver the best possible products to the customers, for a competitive price. You will be au fait with complex supply chains coming out of South America, Africa and Europe and be able to work well under pressure given the short shelf life of these products.

Minimum Requirements:
To be considered for this role, as a minimum, you will need to have a proven track record in buying and negotiation. You will need to have experience in sourcing from growers and suppliers in a worldwide network. You will need to be able to demonstrate your ability to buy at the best possible price, whilst simultaneously building long term relationships with suppliers. You will need to have experience in an extremely short shelf life product (2-3 days) and, as a minimum an interest in flowers and horticulture.

DOE ~£60k+ competitive package
