Logistics Coordinator (Import/Export) | Fresh Produce | Kings Hill
12-Month FTC | Immediate Start Required
Salary: Up to £35,000
Hours: Monday - Friday, working 08:30-17:00 (Hybrid working available)
Join a leading international Fresh Produce business at the forefront of supply chain innovation. This company is seeking a proactive and detail-driven Logistics Coordinator to support their sales team. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract with an urgent start, ideal for someone who is immediately available and ready to make an impact.
The Role: Import/Export Coordination
You'll be the linchpin in ensuring smooth movement of goods across borders, supporting both logistics and sales teams with precision and efficiency.
* Track containers and shipping vessels; update systems with port arrival details
* Review and verify import/export documentation for UK & EU compliance
* Liaise with customs agents, DEFRA, and other authorities to ensure smooth clearance
* Communicate with shipping lines regarding claims and updates
* Assist with supplier payments and purchase order setup
* Resolve documentation discrepancies with suppliers
What You'll Need
To thrive in this role, you'll bring a solid foundation in logistics and international trade, along with a sharp eye for detail within the Fresh Produce/FMCG sector.
* Proven experience in logistics, supply chain, or import/export operations within the Fresh produce or Food Manufacturing industry
* Strong understanding of UK & EU import/export regulations
* Experience working with customs authorities and regulatory bodies
* Familiarity with shipping line claims handling
* Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
* Experience with ERP systems (Prophet or Microsoft D365 is a plus)
