I'm currently working with a well-established and respected player in the global fresh produce industry to recruit an experienced Inventory Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and growing organisation with a strong international presence and a reputation for quality, innovation, and operational excellence.

My client is looking for a driven, detail-oriented leader who can take ownership of inventory operations across multiple departments and locations, ensuring best-in-class accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

This role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth, accurate, and cost-effective management of inventory. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams including supply chain, production, and ripening to ensure everything runs like clockwork. Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Driving full compliance with inventory control procedures and ensuring accuracy across systems

  • Leading stock audits and floor walks to identify and resolve discrepancies

  • Monitoring shelf life and stock ageing, minimising waste and financial risk

  • Overseeing the management of customer returns, GR2, and dump inventory

  • Supporting and training teams to follow correct processes and promote a culture of accountability

  • Collaborating across departments to lead monthly reconciliations and implement improvements

  • Maintaining and updating inventory-related SOPs and contributing to wider innovation projects

  • Taking a proactive role in safety leadership and promoting a culture of health and safety

What they are looking for

To be successful in this role, you'll need to bring both strategic oversight and hands-on leadership. This is a high-impact position, so confidence, collaboration, and initiative are key. The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 5 years' experience in the produce industry (or similar environment)

  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of driving improvements

  • Strong communication skills and fluency in English

  • Excel skills and general proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • A self-motivated, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to work independently

  • Analytically capability to spot trends and solve problems

  • Excellent organisation, time management, and negotiation abilities
