Junior Category Manager | Maternity Cover | Leeds

We are working with a business who are involved in a range of food categories and also own some of the UK's most recognisable brands. They currently have an opportunity for a Junior Category Manager to join the business in order to cover a colleague's Maternity Leave. This role will be supporting the Category Manager in providing insights to some of their key retail customers.

The Job:
Utilising market and retail data in order to identify the various trends and challenges present in the current climate.
You will be manipulating a variety of data sources in order to provide key insights for the Category Managers and the broader teams.
A core function of the role will also be to provide recommendations in order to deliver both the company and customer strategies.

The Candidate:
Given the nature of this being a Maternity Cover role, you will need to be available for circa a 9-12 month period.
You will have a background in some form of Category Management within the food sector, potentially having worked as a Category Analyst or Junior Category Manager previously.
You will have experience of working with different data sources and have a good head for numbers in order to pull everything together.
