About Our Client
Our client is a leading manufacturer, supplying commercial growers and nurseries with a variety of value-add and essential products. They work with their customers to help them produce the best quality products to sell to key retailers, adding value to the consumers along the way. They are a well-established business and brand and have a solid reputation for quality and adding value to the supply chain. They utilise different channels to reach the market and have built strong relationships with key customers and wholesalers to ensure they reach their customers as efficiently as possible.

About the Role
You will work with the existing sales manager to build rapport and relationships within the horticulture sector. You will manage some accounts or territories yourself and will work closely with customers to deliver sales and increased commercial performance. You will also be able to introduce new systems, processes and ways of working to support business growth. You will look at implementing a CRM to deliver long term business success. You will work closely with the operations team to deliver efficiencies and be the link between commercial and operations. You will engrain yourself within the business before stepping up to be the sales manager in the future.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a background in supplying the horticulture sector with a variety of products and sundries. You will understand the commercial horticulture sector and be able to build relationships with those customers. Ideally, you will have experience in implementing a CRM system or different processes to improve commercial performance and business efficiency. You will be driven to grow your career and build on your experience to manage a team in the future. You will be commercially switched on, but also operationally aware and be able to form the link between commercial and operations. You will be able to manage a book of customers affectively and drive sales in your territory whilst engraining yourself in the business. You will be able to communicate effectively at all levels.

Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, as a minimum you will need to have exposure to the commercial horticulture sector, be commercial and able to drive sales and also have experience in developing business improvements.

~£25-35k DOE with the potential to grow this significantly in the future.
