The Business

Our client is one of the UK's leading Recycling Specialist, with multiple sites across the UK they provide a fully end to end service collating, sorting and reprocessing all manner of materials into fully reusable ones. Their Leicester site encloses one of the UKs largest fully automated sortation sites in the UK, capable of processing the equivalent tonnage of 100 Double Decker buses a day!

The Business have been heavily investing in plant and site upgrades over the last 12 months, including in upskilling and training for all of their staff. With a global focus on the importance of better environmental practices they are the busiest they have ever been and so are looking for four additional Maintenance Engineers to join their Engineering department.

The Role

The Maintenance Engineers will be responsible for a mix of Planned Preventative and reactive Breakdown work, with the site fully stopping every Tuesday for routine overhaul, and a full two week shut down every summer. The site is fully automated with a mix of Siemens and Allen Bradley PLCs.

The Maintenance Engineers will be required to be able to fault find on both electrical and mechanical systems, read electrical drawings, and fault find on PLCs via HMIs. They are ideally looking for Multiskilled Engineers, but are happy to look at candidates who have a bias in either Electrical or Mechanical.

Thanks to continued investment in their staff, Engineers can expect full systems training, plus additional upskilling courses based on their hands bias.

Candidate

  • Must have a recognised Engineering Qualification (Elec or Mech)
  • Must have worked on some form of automated equipment or Plant
  • Must be able to read electrical drawings
