Location - Nottingham

Package - £40,000 plus unlimited overtime!!!

Shifts - 4 on 4 off (Days Only)

The Business

Our client is the largest Recycling and Preprocessing business in the UK, with over 30 sites across the country their Nottingham site is one of their biggest and capable of collating and reprocessing a huge variety of materials. Spread across 30 acres, they are able to separate and recycle Plastics, Paper and Cardboard, Glass, Wood, Hardcore, Bricks, Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals, Blocks, Cement, Concrete, and Plasterboard.

Once separated, the materials are either sent to one of their sister sites for reprocessing, sold on as reclaimed / recycled or reprocessed on site into a reusable material. The Site processes over 500,000 tons of materials every single year, of which only 2% is not usable.

The Role

The business is currently looking for 4 Maintenance Engineers in total, 1x Electrical Maintenance, 1x Mechanical Maintenance, and 2x Multiskilled Engineers, with the Engineers focusing on work best suited to their bias. All the equipment is PLC Controlled (Allen Bradley) and the Maintenance Engineers will be able to use the HMIs to fault find.

Working in Teams of Four, the Maintenance Engineers will be responsible for attending and diagnosing breakdowns and faults on a range of equipment including: conveyors, shredders, compactors, Eddy Current Separators, Trummels, Sortation, grading and weighing systems, granulators, compactors, wash lines, and laser vision sortation and grading systems.

Hands on the role is mainly reactive in nature as the plant runs 24/7, however the Engineers will be responsible for routine service work on the machines at regular intervals as prescribed by the PPM schedule.

Candidate

  • Must have a recognised Engineering Qualification (Elec or Mech)
  • Must have worked on some form of automated equipment or Plant
