Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a 4-year mechanical apprenticeship program and NVQ Level 3 certification.
  • Proficient in mechanical maintenance and repair, showcasing expertise in pump maintenance, boiler operations, and pipe fitting.
  • Adept at interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexible to work occasional overtime as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute mechanical maintenance tasks, such as machinery moves, equipment installations, and distribution board replacements.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Leverage expertise in pump and boiler systems to maintain functionality within our chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with other maintenance team members to troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues, including gearbox repairs, pump maintenance, and pipe fitting.
  • Actively participate in project planning and execution, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgetary constraints.
  • Adhere diligently to established safety protocols and procedures, fostering a secure working environment.
