We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established Food & Beverage manufacturer who are looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Technician to support their multi-site operation. This is a days-based role offering long-term stability and exposure across several production environments.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance, machinery installation, and fault-finding across production equipment, ensuring plant reliability and compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine set-up, installation, and commissioning

• Planned and reactive maintenance activities

• Fault diagnosis and repair of production machinery

• Root cause analysis and continuous improvement support

• Fabrication and welding when required

• Pre-maintenance inspections and maintenance execution

• Accurate completion of maintenance records using CMMS

• Adherence to all site health & safety procedures

• Participation in a 1 in 4 on-call rota

Candidate Requirements

• Experience within a Food & Beverage manufacturing environment

• Strong hands-on maintenance and repair experience

• Workshop practice and use of general machine tools

• Fabrication and welding skills

• Working knowledge of industrial utilities (compressed air, steam generation, etc.)

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics

• Proficient with hand and power tools

• Experience using CMMS

• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability

• Safety-focused approach
