Membership / Account Manager | FPC | Peterborough

We have been exclusively commissioned by the Fresh Produce Consortium (FPC - the trade association for the UK Fruit, Vegetable and Floral industry) to source a new member for a close-knit team. This role is a Membership (Account) Manager and you will be responsible for developing, nurturing and growing membership. As part of a small, but highly effective team, which consistently punches above its weight both in terms of influence and delivery, you will have the opportunity to become a recognised and valuable part of the team and wider industry.

The Job:
You will be a key point of contact for existing members, ensuring they consistently receive value from their membership. You will build strong relationships with members through regular interaction, whilst gaining an ongoing understanding of the challenges facing the industry. You'll work with the team to deliver advice & support for members. You will have the presence to interact at all levels ensuring members fully appreciate FPC activity and seek constructive feedback to further develop the relationship. You will identify and engage with potential new members, promote the benefits of membership; increasing the visibility and value of FPC membership across the whole sector.

The Candidate:
A background in the fresh produce industry is not essential but an understanding of the intricacies of this diverse and ever-changing sector is a distinct advantage. Account or customer service experience is ideal with the ability to achieve challenging targets. A positive can-do hands on approach coupled with great communication skills are essential. You will be given every opportunity to learn about the industry and will have as much support as possible to get you up to speed on any areas you need to develop.
