Monday to Friday 3 shift pattern: Mornings, Afternoons and Nights

They are seeking an experienced and proactive Multi-skilled Engineer to join their high-performing team in Poole. Reporting to the Engineering Team Leader, you'll play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of their production equipment and site services.

This role is vital to minimising downtime, ensuring food safety standards are upheld, and maintaining their reputation for operational excellence. If you're passionate about engineering in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure clean and audit-ready engineering workspaces
  • Carry out reactive and planned maintenance to minimise downtime
  • Use and update the CMMS system with accurate asset and work data
  • Support production with timely technical resolutions
  • Follow detailed mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic schematics
  • Lead or assist on fault-finding and equipment improvement
  • Ensure clear, concise communication at shift handovers
  • Provide support to fellow engineers, even outside of core hours
  • Document all tasks with appropriate work orders

Requirements

  • Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment (preferably food industry)
  • Strong skills in electrical and mechanical fault diagnosis
  • Electrical qualification
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic)
  • Skilled in using CMMS systems, and maintaining asset histories
  • Clear communicator with excellent organisational and teamwork skills
  • Demonstrated can-do attitude, job ownership, and proactive mindset
  • Willingness to work days, nights, weekends, and as the sole engineer if required
  • Commitment to continuous personal and process improvement
  • Positive and adaptable approach to change and leadership
