Our client is a leading grower of a variety of crops which they supply to the major retailers and supermarkets. They are family owned and have invested in the latest technology to deliver the best products to their customers. The team are all passionate about horticulture and the products that they grow and sell. They grow a variety of crops and supply seasonal products as well as staples throughout the year. They have strong company values and are focused on growing the business further under their vision.

About the Role
As a result of business expansion, our client is looking for an experienced account manager with a background in the horticulture sector. This role will lead the management of a key supermarket customer(s) focusing on the trends in the market, range of products to offer, packaging, quality, commercial results to form a long term JBP with the customer. You will utilise your experience to drive the commercial relationship with the customer. You will work closely with the team to deliver results and account growth.

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a background in horticulture and have solid plant knowledge. You will have experience in managing the relationships with the major UK Supermarkets and retailers and be able to demonstrate your ability to grow an account and form JBP's. You will be a team player and be able to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in when required. As a seasonal business, you can expect to work some weekends at peak periods and be able to start early too. You will be a strong communicator who is comfortable presenting to internal and external stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, as a minimum, you will need to have experience in the commercial horticulture sector, have good plant knowledge and have experience in supply major UK retailers/supermarkets.

Salary
~£40-45k + package DOE
