Our client is a leading retailer in the UK.

In this role, you will work with a defined Buying team responsible for managing a diverse range of non-food hardlines commodity groups.

As the Non-Food Hardlines Quality Manager you will report into the Quality Assurance Director for the business and you will have 2 direct reports.

The Job:
Managing a diverse range of hardlines commodity groups.
Liaise with and manage the hardlines technical service provider to ensure that products launched are safe, legal and meet the defined quality standards.
Define simple test plans for product testing on tender and pre-production samples.

The Candidate:
A Technical degree 2.1, ideally in Product Design or Engineering.
A minimum of 5 years retail experience in a similar field, or 5 years manufacturing/laboratory experience working with Hardlines products.
Knowledge of EU regulations and fit for use testing.
Experience of managing teams and 3rd party technical service providers.
Experience of managing projects.
Knowledge of multiple hardlines areas.
