About the Client

This garden centre is part of a small group, all the outlets have a strong destination feel which allows the customer to enjoy a high-end shopping and dining experience. As well as the garden centres this client also runs a successful nursery growing a range of products. Based in the Southwest of England this centre is a fantastic location for a passionate, driven horticulture candidate to step into a management role.

About the Role

This customer facing role will include leading a team of staff, displaying and maintaining stock as well as dealing with customer requests and issues. This role is filled with the autonomy and flexibility to make the role your own and bring in fresh thoughts and ideas. Keeping up standards and working closely with other areas of the centre will be a key part too, as well as a plan to grow the plant department and maximise sales.

The Ideal Candidate

To be considered for this role, you will need a strong garden retail background and a passionate for sales. Horticulture knowledge is a must as you will be expected to speak to and advise customers with their purchases. The ability to lead a team and delegate to staff is essential as well as being engaging, a good communicator and having good timekeeping skills. This role will be in a fast paced, busy centre so the candidate will need to showcase the ability to work well under pressure.
