How would you like to work for a well established and highly regarded farming business? We are working with such as business as they look to appoint a Potato and Irrigation Manager to seek opportunities for advancement within the potato arm of the company. You will be overseeing potato production and the irrigation infrastructure.

Your responsibilities

As Potato & Irrigation Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
Seed QC & chitting schedule
Budgeting
Crop agronomy & fertiliser planning
Soil/Crop sampling
Irrigation scheduling
Harvest planning
Cultivation planning
Potato storage

You will also be responsible for all decisions around crop health and the irrigation utilisation.

The person:

We are looking for organised and personable candidates who has a background in potato production/agronomy. You will be BASIS qualified (FACTS would be great too but training will be provided for the right person), have experience of supervising staff, preferably hold your forklift/telehandler certificates and have a strong understanding of potato production. You will also be interested in crop health and have sound irrigation knowledge.
